This is one of my coolest projects to date! I attempted a type of printing called cyanotyping (or sunprinting) that utilizes specific chemicals in the dye to "print" images onto things with the UV rays of the sun. It's so fun to do, and I totally loved the handlettering and quote I chose. It's from one of my favorite songs ever, and totally went with the sunprinting vibe perfectly. Absolutely give The Sundays their flowers if you haven't yet! I definitely want to try cyanotyping for a poster next.
This project is what started my obsession with brushlettering, haha! This project was an absolute blast to work on, and I'm so proud of the results. This quote was written primarily with Sharpie, but the rainbows within the letters were actually created using water-based brush pens and a waterbrush to blend the colors together, creating that gorgeous watercolor effect. This quote, too, is from one of my favorite things ever, and extra points to you if you know what it is!
